Calibration Overview:
Accurate measurements are crucial at every stage of product development and production. The quality control process relies heavily on the precision and reliability of test and measuring instruments (TMI) to yield accurate results.
Most TMIs tend to drift over time due to various factors like component ageing, temperature and humidity fluctuations, and power supply variations. That is why it’s essential to systematically and periodically check TMIs through a process called calibration, where they are compared with instruments of higher accuracy.
For global trade and the interchangeability of components, measurements must be consistent and internationally accepted. This is achieved through a common reference base, which is the SI unit of measurement. Periodic calibration of TMIs ensures that measurements are traceable to this common reference base, which is the key link between international measurement standards and day-to-day testing and measurement data.
At SITARC, we understand the need for precise measurements. That’s why we deliver certified calibration services to ensure accurate results with NPL traceability, NABL accreditation to ISO 17025 standards, detailed documentation of results, and even recall notifications for re-calibration. Incepted in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu India, we have world-class laboratory facilities, enabling us to deliver top-notch calibration services to businesses across diverse industry sectors. We can calibrate multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, tachometers and many other measuring instruments.
